Max Faulkner

My name is Didi Barnes, eldest granddaughter of Max Faulkner, OBE, who, having reached the ripe old age of 88, died on Saturday 26th February 2005 as a result of a cardiac arrest.  Max was a professional golfer of world-wide repute: a golfing star of the 1950s.  However, he was also a fascinating man and a wonderful grandfather.

Max (whom I nicknamed Moosh or Mooshtie) always used to quip as he was getting older, "It's getting dark".  Now that he is finally resting in the darkness, I have produced this web site with the intent that his light should shine on "out here" as it always will do in my heart.

I, along with the rest of the family and all the others into whose lives you brought so much fun and laughter, will miss you so much, Mooshtie.

Created 7th March 2005, in loving memory of Max Faulkner, OBE
